FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Where are you located?

A: I am completely mobile, so I can come to you wherever you feel most comfortable, whether it's your home, a Starbucks, or your workplace. I choose to be fully mobile to provide more convenience to my communities.

Q: What is the process & how long does it take?

A: I will come to your location with all the necessary equipment to perform a successful scan. I have my own power source, so I do not need to plug in anywhere. Once I arrive, I will set up the equipment and input the required information on your live scan form. Next, I will record your identification information, and then we can run your fingerprints. The entire process takes about 20 minutes.

Q: What forms of ID do you accept?

A: We accept different forms of government-issued identification such as state licenses or identification cards, passports, resident cards, or any other form of ID issued by the government. If you are a student under the age of 18 without a license, a picture ID will suffice as identification. If you have a temporary license, you can use it along with another form of picture ID to identify yourself.

Q: What if I do not have a Live Scan form?

A: If your employer or organization has not provided you with an application for live scan, kindly request one from them. In case they do not have the form available, please feel free to contact us and we will assist you in obtaining the necessary form."

Q: What happens after you run my prints?

A: . After submitting your prints electronically to the DOJ and/or FBI, each agency will conduct its own investigation of your background. Once the investigation is completed, the results will be sent to the entity that requested the Livescan, not directly to you.

Q: How long will it take to receive my results?

A: . According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the processing time for obtaining any record can range from 3 to 30 days. However, if no issues arise with your record, the turnaround time is usually just a few days. It's worth noting that firearm applications usually take longer to process, with a typical wait time of 3-4 months.

Q: What do I do if I receive a rejection letter?

A: If you receive this letter, please contact me as soon as possible. We will set up a time to reprint your fingerprints for free. In this case, when the DOJ receives the second set of fingerprints, they will run the record by name instead of fingerprints this time. We can only redo your prints if you are rejected for this reason.
